about Us
The club was founded by Lud Freiseis in 1985 in Palm Desert, CA as the Palm Desert Figure Skating Club. Â Its home ice was the Ice Capades Chalet at the Town Center Mall in Palm Desert until it closed in 2001. Desert Ice Castle in Cathedral City was our home from 2007 until its closure in 2020 during the Covid pandemic. As of December 2022 our home ice is the Berger Foundation Iceplex at Acrisure Arena.
