The Desert Figure Skating Club
Before Ilia Malinin, Nathan Chen, Alysa Liu, Jason Brown, Madison Chock, Evan Bates, or any other world-class skater from the United States takes the ice at the World Championships or Olympic Winter Games, they all start from the same place – by joining a local figure skating club sanctioned by U.S. Figure Skating. Become a member now by going to our Membership page.
The club’s home ice is located at the Acrisure Arena in Palm Desert, home of the Coachella Valley Firebirds. The Berger Foundation Iceplex training facility adjacent to the arena is open for public, freestyle and adult drop-in sessions. We are thrilled to have regulation ice right here in the Coachella Valley!
Although we can’t promise that you’ll get to the Olympics, we can guarantee all the benefits and privileges provided through U.S. Figure Skating membership in The Desert Figure Skating Club (TDFSC), the desert’s only U.S. Figure Skating-sanctioned member club.
Mission
Our mission is to foster a love for figure skating by providing a supportive and inclusive environment for skaters of all ages and skill levels. We aim to promote passion, dedication, and sportsmanship while helping our members achieve their full potential in the sport. We aspire to support and develop athletes for national and international figure skating competition by providing the financial support they need. Through quality coaching, training, and community engagement, we strive to inspire and empower individuals to excel both on and off the ice. Together, we skate towards excellence, unity, and joy in every glide.
