Mission Statement

 The mission of The Desert Figure Skating Club (TDFSC) is to support and develop amateur athletes for national and international figure skating competition. 


 TDFSC's home ice is Desert Ice Castle, located at 68-600 Perez Road, Cathedral City, CA 92234

Club History

 The club was founded by Lud Freiseis in 1985 in Palm Desert, California as the Palm Desert Figure Skating Club.  its home ice was the Ice Capades Chalet at the Town Center Mall in Palm Desert, until it closed in 2001.  Our new home, Desert Ice Castle, (DIC) opened in 2011.  DIC is the only rink located within 60 miles of Palm Springs, California and serves the entire Coachella Valley.
